People's Climate Art Show in NYC - Opens TONIGHT by Diana Baltazar

Check it out, peeps!  Looks like it's going to be super cooool!

Two months after the historic Peoples' Climate March, and days before the UN Climate Summit in Lima, you are invited to gather in Manhattan for an evening of art & activism, as solidarity events begin in NYC.

The PCM gave birth to a flourishing art movement: Come experience the incredible photography, screen prints, posters, sculpture, video and more from The People's Climate March & Flood Wall Street.

The Climate Ribbon, a participatory public art project that debuted at the finale of the march, will be installed in the gallery. You're invited to write a ribbon at the event, sharing what you love and hope to never lose to Climate Chaos. The ribbons will be installed in the streets of Paris in December, 2015, during the next UN Climate Summit.(

The event will be a fundraiser with proceeds split between People's Climate Arts and The Climate Ribbon Project. It is FREE to attend, but don't hold back from supporting these great activist art projects!

We will be using this opportunity to discuss upcoming events and plans-in-action around Lima, Peru as well much more!

WHEN: Monday, Dec 8, 2014: 6-9:30pm - Free - All ages.

WHERE: ThoughtWorks Gallery is located at 99 Madison, 15th Floor. Wheelchair accessible, elevator in building.

Cool Human: Molly Crabapple on Being Yourself and Working Hard by Diana Baltazar

"We live in an era where a lot of the old, supporting institutions are either opening up or crumbling, so I suggest that people don’t try to distort who they are to fit notions of what’s professionally viable, because that paradigm is over. I suggest you focus in on your weirdness, your passions, and your f%#*ed-up damage, and be yourself as truly as you can. Express that with as much craft, discipline, and rigor as you can; work as hard as you can to build a career out of that, and then you’ll create a career that you love and that’s true to yourself, as opposed to doing what you think other people want and burning yourself out when you’re older."

Cool Human: boychild (Trust us, you want to read this article!) by Diana Baltazar

Just reliving our obsession with boychild today.  She is a <3 <3 <3, folks!  Why do we love boychild so much?  Well, it's always a combination of the remarkable work and sophisticated values of cool humans that poke us in that place that feels sooo good!  Check out this article from i-D Magazine, to date our fav interview with #boychild.

TRUTH | BEAUTY | SOUL | EQUALITY | MAGIC | FREEDOM | LOVE | SPIRITUALITY all become so outrageous and simultaneously so NORMAL!! through boychild's work.

There's so much about Gilbert & Leona that we love!  Their products are made from recycled and post-manufacture leather and hardware.  Everything is built with lasting quality, and the design sensibility made to outlast those silly 1-season trends.  We love the brand's style because at once it's organic / archaic AND futuristic / post-apocalyptic / sci-fi.  Whether or not that's what they're going for, that's how we see them -- in an upcoming sci-fi film and in our wardrobes!  Check out our fav picks from their store:

Had an amazing time at the HalloQueens ball at #PS1, the latest party by the legendary #SusanneBartsch "New York City's patron saint of transformation and inclusion".  We love the positive energy and otherworldly self expression at her events.  Helps us remember what it's like to be wild and free!  @bartscharama @MoMaPS1

Our new fav band Lucius by Diana Baltazar

We <3 Lucius!!!   Check out this inspiring song about what a real woman is like.  Learn from the Wildewoman how we can rewrite our future any way we want because the truth is, We're Free!  "We'll only be bound by the things we choose"

We pretty much love every song they've ever written.
